Günther Platter visits polychromelab design and fashionlab in Tyrol

Günther Platter, govenor of Austrian province Tyrol visits polychromelab in our design and fashionlab in Hall in Tyrol, Mustergasse 5. He is having his election campaign 2013, we had a brief talk about innovations of Austrian startups, ski mountaineering and of course our fabric, which we engineer in our fashionlab in Tyrol, and the future we will face with our designer products.

This is the jury’s statement:

Category: technical innovation / polychromeab, Michele Stinco, Hall in Tirol

Top material, which warms and cools by textile physics. If you are traveling in the mountains, one is often faced with short-term weatherchanges, but also with large temperature fluctuations that can sometimes be 20 or 25 degrees celsius. Who is dressed incorrectly, sweats or shivering usually very fast and raises the load on the human body. Therefore Michele Stinco has developed a reversible laminate which is, made up as a jacket, windproof, waterproof and breathable – but does temperature stabilization by cooling or warming through textile physics with membrane technology providing natural materials. Thus the jacket shifts the power limits of membranes very positively.

The jacket can – as required – be worn on both sides. By 2011, there was no single-layer jacket that must comply with these requirements and could be manufactured in series.

Die Münchner Messe ispo hat besonders Draußen-Magazin
zukunftsweisende Sportprodukte prämiert

Was man tun muss, um einen Brandnew-Award zu
gewinnen? Man muss als Marke zum ersten Mal
auf der Münchner Sportartikel-Messe ispo vertreten
sein und ein besonders fortschrittliches
Produkt präsentieren. Zwei Monate vor der nächsten
ispo (29. Januar bis 1. Februar) stehen nun die
Brandnew-Gewinner 2012 fest. Die Jury bestand
aus ehemaligen Siegern wie

Peter Räuber (49) von
der Chiemgauer Bekleidungsfirma Maloja – sie hat
2005 einen Brandnew-Award gewonnen und ist
seither auf 25 Mitarbeiter gewachsen. Die 14 Juroren
haben 269 Produkte aus 27 Ländern gesichtet.
Manche Artikel haben erst Vorserienreife, sind also
die Trends von übermorgen. Von den acht Gewinnern
stellt die tz Ihnen hier sechs vor

 

PRIMA – KLIMA

Bei Hitze helle Kleidung – ein altbewährtes
Rezept, um die Körpertemperatur zu
regulieren. Dieses Rezept hat eine Tiroler
Firma in eine Wendejacke umgesetzt, die
nun den Award in der Kategorie Sportswear
gewonnen hat. Polychrome heißt das
wasserdichte und atmungsaktive Laminat
mit den zwei Gesichtern: Bei hohen
Temperaturen trägt
man die silberne Seite nach außen,
weil sie die Sonnenstrahlung abblitzen
lässt; wenn’s kühler wird, dreht man die
Jacke um, damit die schwarze Seite wärmende
Strahlen aufnimmt.

Der TZ Online Redakteur Ingo Wilhelm
hat eine Polychrome-Jacke am Sonntag im Karwendel ausprobiert
(Fotos). Bergauf hielt die Silberhaut erstaunlich kühl,
ganz ohne Lüftungsschlitze ging’s aber
nicht. Am Gipfel und bergab heizte die
schwarze Seite spürbar ein.
Super: das Tragegefühl.
